Just Eat launches Tuesday discount – get a £15 takeaway free

Just Eat is the latest fast food service to take on KFC with a big Tuesday deal.

Away from the takeaway battleground of the weekend fast food outlets have been increasingly offering discounted food on Tuesday and Just Eat is the latest to cut midweek prices.

The takeaway service is offering customers 20% off all day on Tuesdays and is naming the day ‘Cheeky Tuesdays’. It says: “We think people will really appreciate the chance to cheekily bring some of that Friday feeling forward to a Tuesday.”

It is the latest effort to encourage customers to order fast food during the week and not just at peak weekend times by drastically cutting prices.

The offer does come with some caveats. Customers have to spend £15 to get the 20% discount, bringing the price down to £12 for those who hit the spending minimum. It also only applies to takeaways that have opted in to the deal on the Just Eat website.

Just Eat is not the first to offer cheap comfort food on Tuesdays. KFC relaunched its Chicken Tuesdays in September and the deal has proved a hit with diners.

Chicken Tuesdays at KFC cuts the price of nine piece bucket to £5.99.

KFC and Just Eat are not the only food services offering cheaper food on Tuesday. Domino’s Two For Tuesday deal includes two medium or large pizzas for the price of one and has been running for several months.

However, there is a way to get a Just Eat completely free by combining the Cheeky Tuesday offer with a second deal.

Deals website Topcashback currently has a deal for new customers that means you can order up to £15 worth of takeaway from Just Eat and get up to £15 through cashback – making the deal free.

If you spend over £15 you will get the full £15 in cashback.

The deal is available to new customers only. The cashback amount can be redeemed when customers register at Topcashback.co.uk.
